Church Road Winery is located in the heart of Taradale 10 minutes drive from Napier. It boasts the iconic Tom McDonald cellar room which is often used for both ceremony and reception although on a fine day the reception can be held outside on the steps or on the lawn or at one of the many nearby churches. The barrel room and winery have wonderful photo locations as well as the cellar & museum area. Tim has captured many weddings at this venue and knows the team and surroundings very well.
“The century-old Church Road Winery has earned a reputation as one of New Zealand’s premier wedding venues. A very special location and ambience, award-winning wines and fabulous cuisine make it the picture-perfect place to start your married life together. The winery is situated within the Taradale township that lies in beautiful country surroundings near Napier in Hawke’s Bay. First established in 1897, major restoration has seen the rebuilding of this historic winery and the addition of New Zealand’s first winemaking museum. Our highly skilled team is proud to have forged a name for unrivalled service and attention to detail. After all, we know it’s the little extras that will make your wedding day extraordinary. Church Road offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, each equally as stunning. Drinks & canapés can be served in our picturesque park-like grounds or in one of our indoor locales following your ceremony. Plus, there’s no need to go off-site for your wedding photographs because wedding parties love our award-winning gardens and vine terrace vistas for the spectacular backdrops they provide. We are here to help you every step of the way and can provide you with local information on everything from your cake to entertainment.”
